Natalie and I Got Married - And The General Lee Helped Us Celebrate!

You might have noticed I haven't posted much lately on the DukesCollector Blog.  I've been a little preoccupied the last several months planning the biggest day of my life.  In May, Natalie and I got married and it was the best day ever!  I could write a series of blog posts about how perfect the day was but this blog is about the Dukes of Hazzard so I'll stick to the Dukes aspects of our wedding day.  Namely the General Lee being there to celebrate with us!

A wedding day should be all about the bride.  Natalie had a version of her perfect wedding and I didn't want to get in the way of it.  I just made one request and I'm so thankful she agreed.  The Gen'ral was present at both the church and the reception and I was so happy.  It made for some great pictures of the happy couple.

These pictures of my favorite person in the world with my favorite car are so special to me.  Though we just tied the knot, Natalie has been by my side for my Dukes of Hazzard adventures since the beginning.

My first ever Dukes event, back when the internet was still new and I thought I was the only person who liked "that old show," was John and Tom's appearance in Hershey, PA.  Natalie and I spent the day meeting my heroes and changing my life.

The first time I went to Cooter's, Natalie was there.  Though I don't always mention her on this ol' blog, she's a huge part of my Dukes life.

She is just as big a member of the Dukes of Hazzard family as I am.

Until our wedding day, one of our biggest adventures was the Dukes of Hazzard Movie Premiere in Hollywood.  I wouldn't have wanted to share that day with any else.

Natalie likes to be behind the scenes, but she's been my biggest supporter in my Dukes adventures and is my favorite person in the world.

The day was so special.  Having the General Lee at Historic St. Peter's Church in Brownsville was a dream of mine and I've waited my whole life to have this picture taken.

I've taken so many pictures behind the wheel of the Gen'ral, but this one makes me so happy.

St. Peter's is a huge part of my life and these pictures mean so much to me.

I couldn't wait to take this picture.  My crew was Jake, Josh, Chad, Jacob, Jeff, my dad Big Larry, Nash, Tyler, Trent, John, Ryan and Craig.  And what a crew they are!

Natalie had the idea to add a tiny piece of the General Lee to my attire and had my corsage made with a 1/144 Racing Champions General Lee on it.  I absolutely  loved it and so did all the wedding guests.  Natalie truly is the best.

We had a photobooth at the wedding and I knew the supplier would have a hat and prop table.  I added a little Dukes love with my vintage Boss Hogg hats and I'm pretty sure every single picture taken in the booth included wedding guests wearing my beloved hats.

Of course, none of Dukes magic would have been possible if your pal and mine, Jim Dahlman, didn't agree to bring his amazing General Lee to the wedding.  Jim has honored me by letting me have so much fun in his beloved car over the years.  He brought his Gen'ral to my 40th birthday party and let me straighten the curves and flatten the hills in Luray on more than one occasion.  Thank you so much Jim for being such a big part of our special day.  So many friends and family members took pictures with the General, both at the church and at the reception, and it really added to the day.  It was perfect.

I could keeping writing for days about how everything was just incredible.  We filled the church, the party bus was a blast, out photographer was excellent, the food was the best, the DJ was great, and everyone had so much fun. Natalie planned the absolute best wedding and she executed it amazingly.

I am the luckiest man alive.  We had the best wedding ever and I got to sprinkle in just enough Dukes of Hazzard to the mix.  Natalie, I love you so much!
