Huge news! The Dukes is finally available to stream and included with a subscription! Amazon Prime Video has added the entire series in glorious HD to their service. Amazon Prime Video is a little different than Neflix or Hulu. With Prime, you get access to Prime Video which has hundreds of movies and TV shows included, but you also get Amazon Prime which is a huge benefit if you shop on Amazon. With Prime you get free shipping on most items and many other perks. Prime membership costs $12.99 a month or yearly for $99.
When the newly converted HD episodes premiered on CMT in 2014, they were edited for syndication. We only got to see about half of the original 145 episodes in HD. Now that it's streaming on Prime, we get every episode in HD and they are unedited. They even include the original "Tonight on the Dukes" openings! We haven't seen those since the TNN days.
The above title cards need a little work. They have Coy and Vance on seasons 3 and 4, and not 5. We all know that they only appeared on season 5. When you go to a specific episode on Prime, you see the same images for each episode, maybe they will update those soon.
I've talked about Prime Video before on the blog because it's the home of the new Tick series. We all know that our favorite comic book creator, Jeff McClelland, writes the Tick book and even appears in an episode of the new series. So after you watch the Dukes, check out the Tick, you won't be disappointed.
I'm just so excited that the Dukes are streaming. Remember when I said 2018 would be a huge year for the Dukes? With the rerelease of the DVD box set, the Fan Get-Together that I'm co-hosting with Ben and Alma, Catherine Bach representing the Dukes and appearing on Food Network's Worst Cooks in America, Celebrity Edition, and now the show streaming, this year sure is living up to expectations! The Dukes of Hazzard are back!
I’m looking for the pictures taken at Cooters of playing the Dukes game on 5-12-18. Thank you.

It has been removed and dont know why
ReplyDeleteI bet they pulled it so that CBS would have HD exclusive, for the new upcoming streaming service.
